* Construction features
Floating Pneumatic rubber fenders, whose basic body construction consists of outer rubber layers, synthetic-cord-reinfrced rubber layers and inner rubber layers, are kind of cylindrical airbags with hemispherical heads at both ends. All of these are vulacanized together, and the compress air inside to enable it to folat on the water. So pneumatic fender has become an ideal ship protection medium used extensively by large tankers, LPG vessels, ocean platforms, bulk carriers and floating structures, large docks, harbor and wharfs.
The performance of floating pneumtic rubber fenders shall be specified in terms of guaranteed energy absorption (GEA), reaction force at GEA deflection, and hull pressure at GEA deflection.

1. Initial Internal Pressure Rating of Yokohama Pneumatic Rubber Fenders
There are two initial pressure rating for Yokohama Pneumatic Rubber Fenders :
a) Pneumatic 50 (Initial internal pressure 50 kPa)
b) Pneumatic 80 (Initial internal pressure 80 kPa)
2. There are two types for Yokohama Pneumatic Rubber Fenders :
a) Net-type Fenders
The Yokohama Pneumatic Rubber Fenders is covered by a protection net consisting of either Chain, wire or fiber and usually with tires or rubber sleeves.
b) Sling type
The Yokohama Pneumatic Rubber Fenders is designed to be used without a protection net. It’s easy to hand because of their lightweight.
